Description
The Winchester SXP Waterfowl Hunter is a purpose-built 12 gauge pump-action shotgun aimed at duck and goose hunters working the marsh. Built around Winchester’s Super X Pump action, the Waterfowl Hunter pairs a 26″ back-bored vent rib barrel with a 3.5″ chamber that handles the heaviest 12 gauge waterfowl loads, while a 4+1 capacity (rated with 2.75″ shells) gives a practical round count for incoming flocks.
The entire shotgun wears a Mossy Oak Shadow Grass Habitat camouflage finish across stock and metalwork, breaking up the outline against reeds, marsh grass, and open water. A fixed stock, drop-out trigger group, and reversible crossbolt safety round out the controls, laid out for a right-hand shooter. At 47″ overall and 6.14 lbs, the SXP stays fast-handling and well balanced for quick swing shots on crossing birds.
A bright TruGlo fiber optic front sight mated to a matching rear sight delivers a high-contrast sight picture in the low light of pre-dawn and dusk hunts. The Invector-Plus choke system ships with three tubes – Full, Improved Cylinder, and Modified – so patterns can be tuned from close-in teal shots out to long-range goose passes.
