Description
Built for hunters who refuse to let the weather dictate the hunt, the Winchester Model 70 Extreme Weather is a purpose-built bolt-action hunting rifle chambered in 6.8 Western. The Extreme Weather variant is engineered around corrosion-resistant materials and a weather-tough stock so it keeps running in rain, snow, coastal humidity, and cold country.
The barreled action is machined from stainless steel and dressed in a non-reflective matte stainless finish that shrugs off the elements. A 24″ fluted barrel sheds weight up front and helps the rifle balance quickly on target, while a 1:8″ twist stabilizes modern projectile designs. A factory-installed muzzle brake tames recoil and can be swapped for a different muzzle device if the shooter wants to change the rifle’s personality.
Behind the bolt sits Winchester’s adjustable M.O.A. Trigger System, tuned for a clean, crisp break. The action carries a classic three-position safety and is drilled and tapped for scope bases so you can mount the optic of your choice. A 3+1 capacity feeds from the internal box magazine, keeping the rifle slim, balanced, and reliable in the field.
A Bell & Carlson composite stock anchors the package, finished in black with molded-in gray webbing and reinforced with an aluminum bedding block that locks the action in place for consistent accuracy. Built for right-handed shooters, the rifle measures 44.25″ overall and tips the scales at 7 lbs, a manageable weight for an all-day carry into tough hunting country. Brand-new from Winchester, this Model 70 Extreme Weather is ready for its first hunt.
