The Winchester Model 70 Featherweight Compact in 6.8 Western is a scaled-down take on the iconic Featherweight, offering the legendary Model 70 bolt action in a shorter, lighter format suited to carry in the field.
This bolt-action rifle pairs a 20″ free-floating barrel with a 1:8″ twist and a recessed target crown, chambered for the high-performance 6.8 Western cartridge. The action uses classic Pre-’64 style controlled round feeding, a Three-Position Safety, and the crisp M.O.A. Trigger System, all housed in a steel receiver that is drilled and tapped for scope mounting. A jeweled bolt body with knurled bolt handle rounds out the classic Model 70 feel.
The satin walnut stock is finished with Winchester’s signature Featherweight cut checkering on the grip and a matching Schnabel fore-end. The metalwork carries a brushed polish blued finish that complements the warm walnut tones. Configured for a right-handed shooter, the Featherweight Compact measures 39.50″ overall and weighs 6.80 lbs unloaded.
