The Wilson Combat Q-Comp is a purpose-built 5.56x45mm NATO muzzle brake designed for AR-platform rifles, engineered to enhance recoil control in rapid fire without the harsh blast and flash common to many AR-15 muzzle devices.
Machined from steel and finished in Wilson Combat’s signature black Melonite QPQ treatment, the Q-Comp is built to resist corrosion and surface wear under hard use. Its 1/2×28 thread pitch matches the standard barrel threading found on the vast majority of factory 5.56mm AR-15 barrels.
Measuring just 2.20″ overall with a slim .875″ outer diameter, the Q-Comp tucks neatly under most handguards and free-float systems, adding minimal weight and bulk to the muzzle end of the rifle. The compact profile makes it a straightforward, drop-on upgrade for AR builders looking to tame felt recoil and improve shot-to-shot recovery.
