The Whitetail Institute Beets & Greens is a fall-annual food plot seed blend engineered to attract and hold deer throughout the fall and winter. This 3 lb bag covers 1/2 acre and is ready to broadcast straight from the bag.
Beets & Greens combines sugar beets, kale, turnip, and radish varieties selected to work together as a sequential forage source. The brassicas and beets deliver high-energy browse that deer key in on as natural foods decline in late season, giving hunters an effective tool for keeping whitetail on a property deep into the cold months.
For best results, select a site with medium- to well-drained soil, a pH of 6.5 to 7.0, and at least 4 hours of filtered or indirect sunlight per day. Broadcast at the recommended rate of about 3 pounds per 1/2 acre and let the blend establish to draw and hold whitetail through hunting season.
