Description
The Weaver Mounts 99488 Extended Multi-Slot Base is a precision scope mount engineered specifically for Savage Axis rifles. Built as a 1-piece base from 6061-T6 aluminum, it provides a rigid, lightweight platform for attaching optics directly to the rifle’s receiver.
The extended design adds roughly 1″ of forward length compared to standard bases, giving you extra room to mount longer optics and achieve proper eye relief. The base is machined with a 20 MOA cant, elevating the rear of the mount so the scope’s line of sight angles slightly upward relative to the bore. This built-in compensation for bullet drop makes it a great choice for long-range shooting and hunting applications.
Finished in a matte black Type III hard coat anodized finish, the base resists corrosion and wear from heavy field use. Its multi-slot top accepts both Picatinny and Weaver style rings, giving you the flexibility to pair it with a wide range of scopes and accessories.
Designed to install directly to the Savage Axis receiver, this Weaver base provides a secure, return-to-zero mounting platform for your optic. Rings are not included, allowing you to choose the ring height and style that best fits your scope setup.
