The Weatherby Vanguard Sporter in 300 Weatherby Magnum is a classic walnut-stocked bolt-action hunting rifle that honors the brand’s traditional sporter look. It pairs a matte blued stainless steel receiver that is drilled and tapped for scope mounting with a matching 24″ 2 contour threaded barrel (1/2×28 thread pitch) finished in matte bead-blasted blued steel and capped with a target crown. A 1:10″ rifling twist supports the long-range performance Weatherby customers expect from this magnum cartridge.
The stock is a Grade A Turkish Walnut Monte Carlo with a rich brown finish, shaped for comfortable right-hand carry. The action is fitted with an adjustable two-stage match trigger (adjustable down to 2.5 lbs) and a traditional three-position safety. No iron sights are installed, leaving the receiver ready for the shooter’s preferred optic. Like every Weatherby Vanguard, the Sporter is backed by the brand’s sub-MOA accuracy guarantee – a three-shot group of .99″ or less at 100 yards with factory ammunition.
Feeding from its magazine with a 3+1 capacity, the Vanguard Sporter weighs approximately 7.80 lbs and measures 44.50″ overall.
