Description
The Weatherby Vanguard Badlands is a purpose-built bolt-action hunting rifle chambered in .308 Winchester, wrapped in the iconic Badlands Approach camouflage pattern. It carries Weatherby’s signature two-lug fluted bolt body, a hinged floorplate, and a 4+1 internal magazine configuration – making it the first Weatherby production rifle to wear this popular camo.
At the heart of the rifle is a 22″ 2 contour barrel finished in Burnt Bronze Cerakote and threaded at the muzzle for suppressor or muzzle brake installation. The barrel is paired with a stainless steel receiver that is drilled and tapped for scope bases, giving you a solid foundation for any optic setup. The action cycles via Weatherby’s crisp adjustable two-stage match trigger, with a familiar 3-position safety positioned on the tang.
The stock is a synthetic Monte Carlo design with a raised comb for proper scope-to-eye alignment, finished in the Badlands Approach camouflage pattern. Built in a right-hand configuration, the rifle ships with no iron sights installed – leaving the receiver open for your preferred scope or red dot mounting solution.
Rounding out the package is a 1:10 twist rate, an overall length of 42″, and a hunt-friendly weight of 7.40 lbs. The Vanguard Badlands is a complete, ready-to-scope hunting rifle aimed at big game hunters who want Weatherby accuracy, a threaded barrel for suppressor or brake use, and a camo package that performs from the whitetail woods to the western high country.
