Description
The Traditions R2010 Kentucky Rifle is a classic single-shot muzzleloader that channels the look and feel of an original longrifle while delivering modern build quality. Chambered in .50 caliber, this flintlock model pairs a 33.5″ blued octagonal barrel with the timeless profile of a full-length American long rifle stock.
The octagonal barrel is rifled at a 1:66″ twist, making it well suited for patched round-ball loads and authentic black powder shooting. Iron sighting is traditional and dependable, with a blade front sight paired with a fixed notch rear sight. The lock features the signature color case hardened finish found on classic longrifles and uses a V-type mainspring for a quick, snappy lock time that helps the flint strike the frizzen with authority in any conditions.
A fixed hardened walnut stock runs the full length of the barrel, finished to highlight the natural grain and shaped in the slim, graceful lines of a traditional Kentucky pattern. The result is a muzzleloader that handles naturally offhand, balances at the wrist, and looks as much at home on the mantle as it does in the field. As a true single-shot muzzleloader, it loads directly from the muzzle in the time-honored fashion, with no internal magazine to complicate the experience.
Whether you are stepping into the flintlock shooting sports, hunting with a historical platform, or simply adding a classically styled muzzleloader to your collection, the R2010 Kentucky Rifle delivers the iconic look, the traditional ignition system, and the walnut-and-blue finish combination that has defined the Kentucky rifle for generations. Made by Traditions, a recognized leader in muzzleloading.
