The Traditions A1940 Blackout cleaning patches are an easy, all-in-one bore maintenance solution for .45 to .54 caliber muzzleloaders. Each jar contains 100 pre-saturated round patches cut from 100% cotton and sized at 2.5 inches in diameter, so they pass cleanly through the bore and wipe fouling from the walls on every stroke.
The oil-based Blackout formula is designed to break down stubborn black powder and Pyrodex fouling while leaving behind a light protective film that helps guard the bore against rust between shooting sessions. Because the patches ship pre-soaked, there is no need to carry a separate bottle of solvent to the range or measure out cleaner by hand in the field, just open the jar and run a patch.
