Part of Taurus’ Ultra-Lite line, this 856 sheds weight through an aluminum frame while still delivering the trusted double-action performance and reliable lockup Taurus is known for.
At the heart of this revolver is a 2″ matte stainless alloy steel barrel paired with a matte stainless cylinder, giving the gun corrosion-resistant good looks and a clean sight radius for defensive work. The DA/SA action runs a smooth double-action trigger pull for fast follow-up shots and a short single-action pull for precision work, with an exposed hammer for traditional thumb-cocking. Sights consist of a ramp front and a fixed rear, optimized for quick target acquisition at defensive distances.
The matte stainless aluminum frame keeps total carry weight to just 16 oz, making the 856 Ultra-Lite easy to pack all day without printing or weighing you down. Black Operator II rubber grips provide a confident, ergonomic hold in adverse conditions. Overall length is a concealable 6.55″.
