The Talley 840705 is a one-piece scope mount and ring combo built specifically for the Weatherby Mark V rifle in the Magnum (9-lug) action configuration. The integrated ring-and-base design does away with the need for separate bases and rings, offering a clean, lightweight optic-mounting platform that holds zero under the punishing recoil of Weatherby magnum chamberings.
Fully CNC-machined from high-strength 7075-T6 aircraft aluminum and finished in a non-reflective matte black anodized coating, the 840705 fits 34mm scope tubes and ships as a matched 2-piece set in a Medium ring height for a standard optic-mounting position. A built-in 0 MOA cant is ideal for standard ballistic reticles or mild holdover work without disturbing the scope’s elevation turret.
The lower half clamps directly to the Weatherby Mark V Magnum receiver using the factory 9-lug pattern, so no separate rail is needed; the top half secures the scope with standard ring caps. This integrated approach is a favorite of hunters and long-range shooters for its repeatable return-to-zero, low weight, and clean lines compared to traditional two-piece base-and-ring setups.
