The Steyr AUG A3 M2 is a semi-automatic bullpup rifle chambered in 5.56 NATO that also accepts .223 Remington. This NATO-package configuration ships standard with a 30-round NATO-pattern waffle magazine and is built around a 16″ barrel.
Keeping the iconic Steyr AUG bullpup layout, the A3 M2 places the action behind the trigger group, delivering a full 16″ barrel in an overall length of just 28.13″. The black synthetic stock houses the integrated pistol grip and trigger group, and this EXT (Extended Rail) variant adds a longer optics mounting platform to accommodate red dots, low-power variables, magnifiers, and night-vision devices. Quick-detach sling swivel mounting points are molded into the stock, and the A3 M2 incorporates a convenient bolt release lever for faster reloads.
Weighing approximately 7.65 lbs unloaded, the AUG A3 M2 is a compact, fast-handling tactical rifle well suited to home defense, patrol use, and range duty. Manufactured by Steyr in Austria, it ships from the factory as a complete modern sporting rifle.
