The Stevens 555 E (Enhanced) is the classically-styled addition to the 555 over/under line, chambered in 16 Gauge with a 3″ chamber. Its scaled, lightweight aluminum receiver is finished in silver with full laser-engraved scrollwork and paired with a matched pair of 28″ vent-rib barrels. The single selective mechanical trigger and tang-mounted safety deliver the classic over/under controls an upland and clays shooter expects.
The oiled Turkish walnut stock is shaped for an ambidextrous hold and presents a warm brown figure that complements the engraved silver receiver and matte-blued barrels. The 555 E ships with five interchangeable choke tubes – Cylinder, Full, Improved Cylinder, Improved Modified, and Modified – so the gun can be tuned for everything from close brush to longer-patterned clays and field work. The chrome-lined bore construction keeps cleaning simple across heavy use.
At 6.45 lbs and 45.28″ overall length, this 16-gauge over/under handles light, points quickly, and reduces shooter fatigue across long field days or extended rounds at the course. The 2-round break-open action follows the standard over/under layout, making choke swaps and transport straightforward. Like the rest of the 555 family, the 555 E’s aluminum receiver is gauge-scaled to fit the 16-gauge frame, balancing weight and balance in a classic sporting package.
