The Spyderco UpTern (C261P) is a value-priced lockback folding knife that brings Spyderco’s signature design language to an everyday-carry price point. Part of the Value Series, this folder is built around a 2.82″ drop point blade ground from 8Cr13MoV stainless steel with a full-flat grind and a plain edge for clean, controlled slicing.
The blade measures 0.098″ thick with a 2.25″ cutting edge, and it opens via Spyderco’s iconic Round Hole and locks open with a reliable back lock mechanism. The handle is constructed from stainless steel, giving the UpTern a solid, durable feel in the hand while keeping total weight to approximately 3.7 oz.
Closed, the knife measures 3.80″; fully opened, it stretches to an overall length of 6.58″. A 4-position ambidextrous pocket clip supports tip-up or tip-down carry on either side, accommodating a wide range of carry preferences. The UpTern is made in China as part of Spyderco’s Value Series, offering accessible Spyderco performance for everyday carry, work, and outdoor tasks.
