The Springfield Armory LevAR is a patented ratcheting charging handle purpose-built for mil-spec AR-15 and M4 upper receivers. The LevAR introduces a deployable ratcheting arm that gives the operator extra mechanical advantage to break a stubborn bolt free and clear a stuck case from the chamber without wrestling a standard charging handle.
At a 7.25 inch overall length, the LevAR provides significantly more purchase than a factory handle, making it easier to run the action with gloves, from a supported shooting position, or under stress. When the ratcheting lever isn’t deployed, it functions exactly like a standard mil-spec charging handle, so normal manual cycling operation is unchanged.
