Description
The Savage Rascal Target is a compact, single-shot bolt-action rimfire rifle built around a heavy, threaded 16.12″ barrel and chambered in .22 LR. Designed as a youth-friendly micro-rimfire with serious target-shooting capability, the Rascal Target pairs an integrated one-piece matte black Picatinny rail with a threaded muzzle for easily mounting optics, red dots, or suppressors, and is built on a matte blued carbon steel receiver.
The 1-round single-shot capacity keeps operation simple and safe for new shooters, while Savage’s user-adjustable AccuTrigger and a thumb safety provide familiar bolt-action controls. The heavy 16.12″ barrel is threaded at the muzzle for added versatility and delivers the shot-to-shot consistency needed for plinking, casual target work, and introducing new shooters to the shooting sports. A 1:16 twist rate stabilizes the wide range of .22 LR bullet weights commonly used in training and target practice.
The fixed wood stock wears a matte black finish and is sized for smaller-framed shooters, with an overall length of just 30.63″ and a rifle weight of approximately 4.42 lbs – easy to shoulder, swing, and shoot for extended sessions at the range or in the backyard. The receiver uses carbon steel in a matte blued/black metal finish for a clean, low-glare appearance and is topped with an integrated Picatinny rail for direct mounting of a scope or red dot. Iron sights are not included; this platform is set up for scope or red-dot use right out of the box.
