The Nanuk 990 is a purpose-built AR-15 rifle hard case from Plasticase Inc., engineered to transport and protect a standard 36″ AR-pattern rifle with room to spare for accessories and magazines. Built from impact-resistant polymer (NK-7 resin) with rounded corners, thick walls, and oversized hardware, the 990 shrugs off drops, weather, and rough handling – making it a dependable transport solution for the range, the vehicle, or long-term storage.
The interior ships pre-filled with customizable foam padding that owners can pluck and shape to fit a specific rifle, optic, and accessories. It is configured to hold a 36″ AR-15 along with space for up to 8 rifle magazines, or alternatively a pistol with up to 4 universal single- or double-stack handgun magazines. Two TSA-compliant locking latches secure the contents during airline travel and checkpoint inspections, while integrated polyurethane wheels and a spring-loaded handle make moving a fully loaded case manageable.
