The Nanuk 985 is a long-format hard rifle case engineered specifically to transport and protect a standard 36″ AR-15 platform rifle. Built from rugged polymer in olive, the 985 carries a sealed shell that is waterproof, dustproof, shockproof, and impact resistant, and the case is rated to float if it goes overboard.
The interior measures 36.63″ L x 14.50″ W x 6″ H and comes pre-cut with custom foam padding shaped to cradle a standard AR-platform rifle. The foam layout also reserves dedicated storage for up to 8 magazines and accessories, so a complete duty or range setup rides in one protected package.
Two TSA-accepted locking latches secure the lid for airline travel and everyday storage, while integrated polyurethane wheels and a sturdy handle make it easy to roll the case through terminals, ranges, or vehicle cargo areas. The result is a purpose-built AR-platform transport case that pairs real-world durability with a purpose-fit interior for the most common modern sporting rifle.
