Description
The Mossberg Patriot Predator in 450 Bushmaster is a purpose-built bolt-action hunting rifle engineered for predator control and straight-wall big-game hunting. Built on Mossberg’s proven Patriot action with an oversized bolt handle for fast cycling, the Patriot Predator pairs hard-hitting downrange authority with a precision-oriented feature set at a value price point.
At the heart of this rifle is a 20″ matte blued fluted barrel with a recessed Match Crown muzzle. Fluting reduces weight and increases surface area for improved heat dissipation during extended shooting sessions. The barrel is threaded for easy mounting of a suppressor or muzzle device, and Mossberg fits the action with a user-adjustable LBA (Lightning Bolt Action) trigger that can be tuned from approximately 2 to 7 pounds to suit personal preference.
The Patriot Predator uses a 1:24 twist rate well-suited for the heavier, stabilized bullets common to 450 Bushmaster hunting loads. The receiver is topped with an integrated Picatinny rail for mounting a scope or optic; the rifle ships without iron sights. A single four-round detachable box magazine provides a total 4+1 capacity. Overall length measures 40.25″ at a carry-friendly 6.50 lbs.
The stock is a fixed Flat Dark Earth synthetic with a classic sporter profile, built tough for the field in any weather. The Patriot Predator ships with one 4-round detachable magazine.
