The MDT Oryx Sportsman rifle chassis upgrades your Ruger American Short Action rifle into a true precision-shooting platform. Built for right-handed shooters, this right-hand chassis combines a rigid aluminum chassis body with a Flat Dark Earth finish and high-strength polymer components for a balance of strength and weight savings.
The action is anchored on a precision aluminum bedding block and the barrel channel is free-floated along the forend for consistent harmonics and improved accuracy. The chassis accepts standard AR-15 pattern grips, including both A2-style and vertical grips, giving you a wide range of aftermarket options to dial in your preferred ergonomics.
An adjustable buttstock allows length of pull to be tailored for a comfortable fit at the bench, prone, or off-hand. The forend accepts barrels up to 1.25 inches in diameter, and the chassis measures 32.25 inches overall while weighing roughly 4.2 lbs.
