Description
The MDT Field Stock is an entry-level, traditionally shaped rifle stock designed to upgrade a Howa 1500 Short Action rifle into a more accurate, ergonomic, and modern-shooting platform without the cost or commitment of a full chassis system.
At the heart of the stock is a 6061 aluminum core that provides a rigid bedding platform, while the outer shell is molded in a traditionally shaped polymer body that stays comfortable and warm in cold weather. The combination gives the Field Stock a solid, stable lockup on the action and a familiar profile at the shoulder, with an overall weight of approximately 3.10 lbs.
Accuracy is supported by an aluminum V-block bedding system and a free-floating barrel channel, allowing the barrel to vibrate consistently for improved shot-to-shot consistency. The stock is configured for right-hand shooters and fits the Howa 1500 short action footprint.
Length of pull is adjustable from 13.50″ to 14.50″ to fine-tune fit across a range of shooters, and the overall length of the stock measures 32.22″. This is a dedicated replacement buttstock only; the action, barrel, and other components shown in reference images are not included.
