The Luth-AR HG-CAR A2 Handguard is a reproduction military-style two-piece clamshell handguard built for AR-15 carbines. Modeled after the classic M16A2 profile, it measures 6-9/16″ overall and weighs just 4.5 oz, making it a true drop-in fit for standard carbine-length upper receivers.
Inside the clamshell halves, factory-installed aluminum heat shields help protect the shooter’s support hand during extended strings of fire. The handguard accepts the standard round handguard cap and is molded from polymer to keep weight to a minimum while preserving the original A2 look and feel.
