The Leupold BackCountry Cross-Slot scope base is a one-piece scope mounting platform purpose-built for the Browning X-Bolt Super Short Action rifle. Precision-machined from 7075-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum, the BackCountry base delivers the strength and rigidity demanded by hard-recoiling magnum cartridges and long-range precision shooting while keeping overall rifle weight to a minimum.
This model is built with 20 MOA of integral elevation, meaning the rail surface is angled upward relative to the bore. Once the rifle is zeroed at a closer distance, that built-in angle leaves a generous reserve of usable adjustment travel within the optic’s elevation turret – a real advantage for long-range shooters who need the full vertical adjustment range of their scope at extended distances. The Cross-Slot base design accepts both Picatinny and Weaver-style rings, giving the shooter freedom to choose the ring height and brand that best fits their optic.
Finished in a non-reflective matte black to blend with factory rifle finishes and reduce glare in the field, the one-piece base measures 5.90 inches in length and mounts directly to the X-Bolt’s receiver. Rings are not included and must be purchased separately to complete the scope mounting setup.
