Description
The Howa 1500 Hogue is a bolt-action rifle chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor, built around Howa’s time-tested M1500 action with a two-stage HACT trigger and a three-position safety. This HGR72503 variant delivers the smooth bolt operation and out-of-the-box accuracy that have made the 1500 a long-standing favorite for hunters and long-range shooters alike.
It pairs a 24″ blued heavy barrel with a 1:8″ twist, an ideal combination for stabilizing the wide range of 6.5 Creedmoor projectiles from lighter hunting bullets to heavier long-range match designs. The heavy contour resists whip and heat soak for consistent shot-to-shot performance, and the muzzle is threaded (capped from the factory) for easy addition of a muzzle brake or suppressor. The stainless steel receiver wears a blued finish and is drilled and tapped for scope base mounting, ready to accept your optic of choice.
The rifle feeds from a detachable box magazine for a 4+1 capacity. With an overall length of 46.5″ and a weight of approximately 8.2 lbs, the HGR72503 balances well for field carry and prone shooting.
The stock is the green Hogue OverMolded synthetic, a pillar-bedded design with a soft rubber overmold that grips securely in wet weather and helps tame felt recoil. Right-hand configuration with a blued finish on the receiver and heavy barrel – a no-nonsense precision rifle built in the traditional style, ready for the range or the hunt.
