Description
The Hornady CX is a monolithic copper alloy hunting bullet offered in 6.5mm (.264″) at 120 grains. Built as a one-piece copper alloy design with no separate core or jacket to come apart, the CX delivers deep penetration and devastating terminal performance, retaining up to 95% of its weight on impact for use on medium to large game.
Each bullet features Hornady’s Heat Shield polymer tip for reliable streamlined flight and consistent expansion at hunting distances. With a G1 ballistic coefficient of .428 and a sectional density of .246, the CX holds velocity well at extended ranges while expanding reliably on impact.
These lead-free bullets are sold in a 50-count box and are intended for handloaders building .264″ hunting loads. The all-copper construction makes them a versatile option for use in areas restricting traditional lead projectiles, and a single-piece build for hunters who demand deep penetration and high weight retention on big game.
