Description
The Hornady CX is a 25 Caliber (.257″) monolithic copper alloy hunting bullet weighing 90 grains, built around a one-piece copper body topped with Hornady’s signature Heat Shield polymer tip. Because the CX is a true monolithic copper alloy projectile, it cannot separate or jacket-core split on impact, instead delivering devastating terminal performance with deep penetration and an outstanding 95% weight retention at practical hunting velocities.
A streamlined boat tail base combines with the heat-resistant tip to produce an aerodynamic profile suited to extended-range hunting. The bullet carries a G1 Ballistic Coefficient of 0.273 and a sectional density of 0.195, giving handloaders a versatile, lead-free projectile for any .25 caliber hunting cartridge that suits a 90 grain bullet. The Heat Shield tip resists deformation from aerodynamic heating and helps initiate reliable expansion across a wide velocity window, while the copper alloy construction makes the CX an approved choice where lead-free projectiles are required.
This package contains 50 projectiles ready for the reloading bench, packaged in the original Hornady box.
