The HEVI-Shot HEVI-Metal Longer Range is a 3-inch 12 Gauge waterfowl shotshell engineered for greater lethality at extended ranges than the original HEVI-Metal. Each 1-1/4 oz payload layers high-density HEVI-Bismuth pellets over corrosion-resistant steel, with the bismuth shot sized one shot smaller than the steel so the denser pellets carry energy deeper downrange where plain steel typically falls off.
Pushing a muzzle velocity of 1500 fps, this BB-shot load increases downrange power by 16 percent thanks to its high-density HEVI-Bismuth layer over steel, giving duck and goose hunters more clean kills on birds that would otherwise flare, soak up a steel-only payload, and keep flying. The bismuth-over-steel blend lets you hunt under non-toxic shot rules without giving up the downrange punch of premium bismuth shells.
