The Guntec USA AR-15 Slabside Stripped Billet Upper Receiver is a precision-machined foundation for a custom AR-15 build. CNC-machined from solid T6 6061 billet aluminum and finished in a durable mil-spec anodized black, this stripped upper delivers the rigidity needed for reliable cycling while keeping weight to a lean 10.3 oz. Proudly made in the USA by Guntec USA.
The “Slabside” profile sets this upper apart with clean, flat side panels paired with a slim shell deflector, giving the build a modern, streamlined look that contrasts with traditional forged uppers. A flat top 1913 Picatinny rail provides a universal mounting platform for iron sights, red dots, holographic optics, and magnified scopes, making this upper a versatile starting point for virtually any AR-15 configuration.
Built around standard M4 feed ramps, this upper is engineered to reliably feed both 5.56x45mm NATO and .223 Remington ammunition when paired with a matching barrel. Sold as a stripped upper only, it allows the builder to select and install their preferred barrel, handguard, bolt carrier group, and charging handle to complete the build.
