The Dan Wesson Specialist is a full-size 1911-style single-action semi-automatic pistol chambered in 10mm Auto and built around a hand-fit 5″ stainless steel match grade barrel. Designed around a duty-grade steel frame, the Specialist delivers the stopping power of the 10mm cartridge in the proven handling geometry of a classic government-size 1911.
The pistol’s stainless steel slide wears a corrosion-resistant Black Duty finish and is machined with deep front and rear serrations for positive manipulation under recoil. The slide is also optics ready, accepting a broad range of popular reflex sights so the shooter can co-witness with the installed fixed Tritium night sights for round-the-clock aiming.
A Black Duty steel frame integrates a Picatinny accessory rail for mounting a weapon light or laser, while sculpted Black/Brown G10 grips provide a secure, textured hold for rapid follow-up shots. An ambidextrous thumb safety combined with the standard 1911 grip safety makes the Specialist accessible to right- and left-handed shooters alike, and the slide, frame, and barrel are all hand-fit at the Dan Wesson shop in the USA.
