Description
The CZ 457 American SR is a suppressor-ready bolt-action rimfire rifle chambered in 17 HMR. Part of CZ’s 457 platform, the “SR” (Suppressor Ready) configuration features a 20″ cold hammer-forged steel barrel finished in black nitride with factory-cut 1/2×28 threads for direct-thread suppressor mounting. The result is a purpose-built rimfire ready for varmint hunting, small-game control, and range time.
At the heart of the rifle is a stainless steel receiver with a black nitride finish and a crisp, adjustable trigger. The action is paired with a two-position safety and feeds from a detachable 5-round magazine (5+1 total with a round chambered). The barreled action is set into a fixed black synthetic American-style stock that delivers a classic sporter profile. The rifle ships without iron sights; the receiver’s 11mm dovetail is intended for scope mounting.
With an overall length of 38.46″ and a weight of 6.17 lbs, this right-hand rifle is well balanced for offhand and prone shooting. The barrel’s 1:9 twist rate stabilizes the full range of 17 HMR bullet weights.
