The CRKT LCK+ Blackout is a purpose-built everyday carry folder from Columbia River Knife & Tool, designed by knife maker Matthew Lerch to deliver a fast, no-nonsense cutting tool that disappears in the pocket. The 3.24″ tanto blade is ground from 8Cr13MoV stainless steel and finished in a low-glare black oxide coat, pairing a strong piercing tip with a long, straight plain edge for daily utility work.
Deployment is fast and smooth thanks to CRKT’s IKBS ball-bearing pivot and an assisted flipper tab. The blade swings open and locks up solid against a liner lock, and the blackout finish carries across the blade, hardware, and clip for a low-visibility, tactical look.
The handle is molded from black glass-reinforced nylon (GRN), a tough, lightweight polymer that stands up to moisture, solvents, and hard use. Aggressive jimping along the thumb ramp and a lightly textured scale surface keep the grip secure in wet or gloved hands. A pocket clip is included for everyday carry, and the knife rides at a compact 4.16″ closed length with a 7.38″ overall footprint when open. At just 2.50 oz, it is light enough for all-day carry but still has enough heft to feel purposeful in hand.
