The Colt Python is a double-action/single-action revolver chambered for .357 Magnum and fully compatible with .38 Special loads. This short-barrel configuration pairs a 2.5″ barrel with a six-shot cylinder and an exposed hammer for thumb-cocked single-action fire.
Built on a carbon steel frame with a matching matte blued finish across the barrel, cylinder, and frame, the Python delivers Colt’s signature build quality, including a redesigned rear sight backed by extra steel beneath the adjustable target sight. A fiber optic front pairs with the adjustable rear for fast acquisition in varied light.
Classic wood grips and a balanced weight of just 2.10 lbs make this 2.5-inch Python comfortable at the range and balanced in the hand.
