The Colt Combat Elite Commander is a duty-ready 1911-style 9mm Luger semi-auto pistol built on Colt’s classic Commander platform. It ships with a 4.25″ stainless steel barrel, an 8+1 capacity, and a single-action-only trigger that generations of shooters have trusted for carry, duty, and range work.
Full stainless steel construction across slide and frame is finished in a striking two-tone PVD treatment that pairs corrosion resistance with a clean, modern look. The slide is serrrated for easy press checks and manipulation, while an extended beavertail helps drive a high grip and tame felt recoil. 3-Dot Tritium night sights come standard for low-light indexing.
Control layout is built for serious use: a thumb safety, grip safety, and firing-pin block provide redundant drop-safe carry, and the ambidextrous thumb safety makes the pistol equally at home in the hands of left- and right-handed shooters. Black scalloped G10 grip panels lock into the hand under recoil without snagging on cover garments.
Overall length sits at 7.75″ with a carry-friendly weight of roughly 33 oz. Colt ships the Combat Elite Commander with one 8-round magazine.
