The Cold Steel 37RS Recon Scout is a heavy-duty fixed-blade tactical knife built around a substantial 7.5″ clip point blade ground from premium CPM-3V high-carbon tool steel. Designed as a modern evolution of Cold Steel’s classic Trail Master Bowie, the Recon Scout pairs a razor-sharp 7.9 mm thick satin-finished edge with a full-length Kray-Ex handle that fills the hand and provides serious purchase in any condition.
The full-tang blade runs 12.5″ overall with a 5″ handle, capped by a classic brass guard for hand protection during heavy chopping or piercing work. The black checkered Kray-Ex scales are textured for grip security in wet, cold, or muddy conditions, and the knife weighs 9.5 oz for confident carry in the field. Cold Steel heat-treats the CPM-3V for outstanding edge retention and toughness, making the Recon Scout a true working blade for bushcraft, survival, and hard use.
