The CMMG F-Marked Front Sight Base Assembly is a direct-fit front sight block for AR-15 platform carbines and rifles built on barrels with a .750 inch diameter gas journal. Machined from steel with a black finish, this assembly carries the classic “F” marking found on the original A2-style front sight base.
Each assembly ships with the front sight post and a factory-installed sling loop, giving the front of the handguard a dedicated attachment point for a cleaning or utility sling. The taper pins required to lock the sight base to the barrel are NOT included and must be purchased separately before installation.
Installation is best handled by a gunsmith or experienced armorer using properly sized roll pin punches, as correct alignment to the gas journal and proper seating of the sight post are required for a secure mount. Made in the USA, this front sight base is a quality replacement or build component for any mil-spec AR-15 upper using the standard .750″ gas journal.
