The Burn Proof Gear Rail-Rap Heavy is a rugged Kevlar heat shield engineered to wrap around 1.75″ to 2.25″ diameter rails, covering standard quad rails and any rail system of similar or larger diameter. Built by Burn Proof Gear for the realities of sustained fire, this panel cuts heat mirage rising off the rail and barrel so the shooter can keep a stable sight picture and a secure grip on the forend through long strings.
The single 6″ long by 3″ wide MultiCam panel mounts cleanly to the rail and gives the user a defined hand-position reference plus a tidy channel for managing remote cables and switch wiring along the rail. The Kevlar construction stands up to repeated heat cycling and field handling, and the subdued MultiCam pattern keeps the panel at home in law enforcement, military, and outdoor environments.
