The Browning Maxus II Stalker is a gas-operated semi-auto shotgun chambered in 12 Gauge with a true 3.5″ chamber, ready for the heaviest waterfowl, turkey, and field loads. The Stalker configuration pairs a 28″ back-bored vent-rib barrel with a matte blued finish for corrosion resistance and a glare-free sight picture in any light.
Built around a black synthetic stock with an integrated SoftFlex cheek pad and overmolded grip panels, the Maxus II Stalker features a trimmable stock to fit a wide range of shooters. Browning pairs the chassis with their Lightning trigger, a crossbolt safety, and right-hand ergonomics for fast, instinctive target transitions. The synthetic stock and overmolded grip hold up to rain, snow, and the abuse of a long hunt day.
At the heart of the gun is a gas-operated semi-auto action engineered to cycle reliably through 3.5″ magnum shells, light target loads, and everything in between. Sights are a practical HiViz Pro Comp front paired with an ivory mid-bead rear for quick, instinctive aiming on passing birds. The vent-rib barrel accepts Invector-Plus Flush choke tubes and ships with three: Full, Modified, and Improved Cylinder.
With a 4+1 capacity, an overall length of 49.25″, and a weight of 6.15 lbs, the Maxus II Stalker balances naturally for waterfowl blinds, turkey setups, and walk-up upland hunting. The 28″ barrel threads the needle between maneuverability in the timber and dense patterns on long birds, and the gas operation noticeably softens felt recoil compared to inertia-driven designs.
