The Browning AB3 Hunter in 300 Winchester Short Magnum is a streamlined, field-proven bolt-action hunting rifle built on the time-tested A-Bolt heritage. It pairs a lightweight, no-nonsense profile with the accuracy and reliability that has made the AB3 a staple for hunters looking for a dependable centerfire rifle without paying for premium trim.
At the heart of the rifle is a 23″ matte blued free-floating barrel with a target crown muzzle, mated to a matte blued steel receiver. The action is drilled and tapped for scope bases so the shooter can mount optics directly to the receiver. A 1:10″ rate of twist stabilizes a wide range of 300 WSM bullet weights for both hunting and longer-range target work.
The bolt throws open at a short 60 degrees, giving fast follow-up cycling and clearance for a low-mounted scope, while a top tang safety provides intuitive operation. Feeding is handled by a 3-round detachable box magazine for an overall 3+1 capacity.
