Constructed from corrosion-resistant 6061-T6 aluminum, the Rapid-Rod collapses down to just 4-1/2 inches long – small enough for a shirt pocket – then opens in seconds into a rigid, full-length cleaning rod ready to push patches and jags down the bore. The whole assembly weighs only 1-7/8 ounces, making it one of the lightest full-size cleaning rods on the market.
The Rapid-Rod fits rifles from .22 caliber and up with barrels up to 26 inches, and shotguns from 20 gauge and up. It uses standard 8-32 female threads so it accepts common slotted jags, patch holders, and brushes across the bore sizes it covers.
