The Area 419 Hellfire 2P Self-Timing Muzzle Brake is a purpose-built recoil and muzzle-rise control device engineered to tame 30 caliber semi-automatic and hunting rifle platforms. The HELLFIRE 2P is designed for use on weapon systems with barrels of 20″ or less, making it a natural fit for short-barreled semi-auto rifles and compact hunting rigs where felt recoil and muzzle flip are at their worst.
At the heart of the design is Area 419’s self-timing system, which uses an adjustable locking collar to keep the two exhaust ports perfectly indexed to the bore without the need for crush washers or shims. Installation is straightforward: torque the brake in place with a standard wrench, snug the collar, and the ports stay locked in alignment shot after shot. The 2-port configuration provides an optimized balance of recoil reduction and gas venting for the short-barrel, semi-automatic use case the brake was designed around.
This version ships with the 5/8×24 adapter and is calibrated for 30 caliber bores. It installs onto any barrel threaded 5/8×24 in the appropriate caliber, making it a turnkey upgrade for shooters looking to flatten recoil and keep the muzzle down between shots.
