The American Precision Arms Gen 2 Fat Bastard is a 338 caliber-rated self-timing muzzle brake purpose-built for the larger-diameter barrels found on heavy magnum rifles.
CNC-machined from stainless steel and finished in a durable black nitride coating, the Fat Bastard carries a 5/8″-24 thread pattern and measures 3.30″ overall length by 1.115″ diameter, a substantial profile well suited to magnum-class platforms such as the .338 Lapua and similar large-bore rifles.
The Gen 2 self-timing design automatically indexes the brake to the correct clock orientation during installation, so the gas ports are aligned as intended from the moment the brake is torqued down. APA rates installation at roughly 30 seconds per unit, keeping setup simple and repeatable shot after shot.
