The A-Zoom 9mm Makarov Snap Cap is a precision-machined dummy round chambered in 9mm Makarov (9x18mm). CNC-cut from solid anodized aluminum to exact factory-spec cartridge dimensions, this practice round cycles through Makarov-pattern pistols for dry-fire training, function testing, magazine changes, and reload drills without any live ammunition, noise, or risk.
Each snap cap uses A-Zoom’s signature “Dead Cap” design, which protects the firing pin during repeated dry-fire cycling. Because the rounds are dimensionally true to a live 9x18mm cartridge, they feed reliably from the magazine, chamber smoothly, and eject cleanly, making them equally well suited for cold-bore drills, malfunction drills, trigger-control practice, and bench function checks on any 9mm Makarov pistol. They also work for safely storing a Makarov-pattern pistol with a spring-compressed round in the chamber.
