Weatherby Mark V Apex Bolt Action Rifle .300 Winchester Magnum 28″ Barrel 3 Round Capacity Carbon Fiber With Tan/brown Sponge Pattern Accents Cerakote Finish
Welcome to the top of the food chain, the Mark V APEX is where long-range accuracy meets lightweight hunting. The APEX is built on the iconic Weatherby Mark V steel action and comes with a fluted two-toned cerakoted barrel. Equipped with Peak 44’s new vertical grip carbon fiber stock, marksmanship just got a whole lot lighter and much more comfortable.
The Peak 44 Bastion stock is among the lightest production vertical grip carbon fiber stocks on the market weighing in at just 23 ounces. It features a comfortable ambidextrous palm swell and a substantial thumb groove to promote proper form while shooting. The forend features dual swivel studs to allow the shooter multiple options when deciding on accessories. This upgraded stock allows shooters to comfortably and accurately shoot from all positions, not only at the range but in the harshest of conditions while in the field.
Also grabbing the eye is the 3DHEX recoil pad, the first production 3D printed pad the firearms world has seen. Hidden inside the pad is a series of interlocking voids that progressively collapse during recoil, expanding the time component of the recoil impulse and deadening the sharp kick of magnum chamberings. This means less felt recoil resulting in better accuracy downrange.
Spiral fluting on the bolt body not only trims weight but also reduces the bearing surface within the action and results in smoother bolt function.
Fit with Weatherby?s highly-effective Accubrake ST, this brake is blended to match the profile of the muzzle. With 30 symmetrically-spaced ports that help harness the recoil, it tames even magnum chamberings.

Caliber Dictionary
The Below Information Has Been Provided From Our Gun Caliber Dictionary And Is Meant For Informational Purposes Only. It Is Not Intended to Describe The Unique Specifications For This Ammunition. The 300 Winchester Magnum, introduced in 1963, was the last of Winchester’s family of (nominally) 30-06-length belted magnums based on the shortened 300 H&H case. It followed the 458, 264, and 338 Winchester Magnums, but has an unusually short neck to maximize powder capacity. Initial reception was mixed; critics faulted the short neck, and it was caught up in Winchester’s unpopular post-1964 manufacturing shift. It took time, but the 300 Winchester Magnum has not just survived but prospered. Today it is the world’s most popular cartridge that wears a “magnum” suffix. It is manufactured by all ammunition manufacturers, chambered by all riflemakers who have a suitable platform, and often employed by military snipers in the Special Operations community. Though not the fastest “fast 30-caliber” it is fast, accurate, incredibly available, and well-suited to virtually all non-dangerous game hunting throughout the world. — Craig Boddington
