The Old Timer Pal (model 12OT) is a compact, single-blade slipjoint folding pocket knife rooted in the classic Schrade Old Timer tradition. Built around a 2.3″ clip point blade, this little traditional folder is sized to disappear in a pocket while still handling everyday cutting chores like opening packages, trimming cord, and light utility work.
The blade is crafted from 7Cr17MoV high-carbon stainless steel for a practical balance of edge retention, easy resharpening, and corrosion resistance. The handle is fitted with sawcut Delrin scales and nickel silver bolsters, giving the Pal the warm, vintage look of its larger Old Timer siblings at a fraction of the weight. The slipjoint mechanism keeps operation simple and is widely legal in jurisdictions that restrict lock-blade folders.
