The Winchester XPR Hunter is a purpose-built bolt-action hunting rifle chambered in the modern, high-performance 6.8 Western cartridge. Built around a rugged stainless steel receiver that is drilled and tapped for optics mounting, the XPR pairs a 24″ Sporter contour barrel finished in Flat Dark Earth Perma-Cote with a TrueTimber Strata fixed synthetic stock for a ready-to-hunt package that disappears in cover.
At the heart of the action is Winchester’s M.O.A. Trigger System, delivering a clean, crisp break for accurate shot placement. A Two-Position safety allows the bolt to be cycled for safe unloading with the safety engaged, and the barrel is finished with a recessed target crown at the muzzle to protect the crown from damage in the field. The 1:8 twist rate is well-suited to the wide range of bullet weights available in 6.8 Western.
Feeding from a detachable box magazine, the XPR Hunter offers a 3+1 round capacity for right-handed shooters, weighs in at 7 lbs, and measures 44″ overall. The rifle ships without iron sights, leaving the drilled and tapped receiver open for a scope of the buyer’s choice.
