Description
The Hornady LEVERevolution in 348 Winchester pairs Hornady’s patented Flex Tip eXpanding (FTX) bullet – a 200-grain polymer-tipped projectile – with a brass case, purpose-built for lever-action rifles and tubular-magazine firearms. The soft polymer tip raises the bullet’s ballistic coefficient over a traditional flat point, delivering a flatter trajectory, better retained downrange energy, and dramatically improved terminal performance on medium and large game. Because the tip also covers the lead core, LEVERevolution is safe to load end-to-end in tubular magazines with no risk of primer ignition in the round ahead.
The FTX is engineered to expand reliably from 800 to 2,000+ fps and produces up to 40% more energy than traditional flat-point bullets at the muzzle. In this 348 Winchester hunting load, the 200-grain FTX leaves the barrel at 2,560 fps for 2,910 ft lbs of muzzle energy – serious big-bore performance from a classic American lever-action cartridge.
