The Leupold BackCountry Cross-Slot Base is a one-piece riflescope mounting platform built specifically for the Browning X-Bolt long-action rifle. It is precision machined from a single billet of 7075-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum, giving it an excellent strength-to-weight ratio while keeping the overall mount lightweight. Leupold’s signature Cross-Slot pattern lets the base accept both Picatinny and Weaver-style rings, so the shooter can use whatever rings are already in their kit or pick the height that suits their optic.
The base carries a low-glare matte black anodized finish and measures 6.60″ long. It mounts with a zero-MOA cant, making it well suited for typical hunting and general-purpose scope setups on the X-Bolt platform. Rings are not included, which lets you choose the ring height and style that match your scope and shooting application.
Installation is straightforward: the base bolts directly to the X-Bolt receiver using the factory mounting holes, giving you a secure, repeatable mounting surface. The BackCountry base is a solid choice for mounting or replacing a scope on any Browning X-Bolt long-action rifle.
