The Winchester Super-X Cowboy Action line was developed specifically for Single Action Shooting Society-style competition and casual plinking with classic single-action revolvers and lever-action rifles. This USA44CB load is chambered in .44 Special and drives a 240-grain lead flat nose bullet at a mild 750 fps, producing 300 ft lbs of muzzle energy – well-suited to cowboy-action steel, silhouette work, and relaxed range sessions where reduced recoil and report are appreciated.
The traditional cast lead flat nose projectile is seated in a brass case with a non-corrosive boxer primer. Reduced operating pressure and the soft lead bullet make this load an excellent choice for older single-action revolvers and lever-action rifles chambered in .44 Special, where full-power .44 Magnum loads would be excessive or hard on the shooter. The flat-nose profile cuts clean, round holes in paper targets and feeds reliably through both revolver cylinders and tube magazines.
